RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the native evolution of SMS. Unlike WhatsApp, it does not require users to install an app, as it works directly within Android’s default messaging app (Google Messages). Compared to SMS, it delivers a richer experience with images, videos, carousels, and buttons, while also displaying your company’s name and logo, providing much greater credibility.
RCS is native to the Android ecosystem. However, the ecosystem is expanding to support the Universal Profile, increasing global compatibility. If the recipient has a device that does not yet support the technology or is without internet access, Zenvia uses Smart Fallback, automatically delivering the content via SMS to ensure your message is received.
